Catholic Women's League (CWL)
Holy Redeemer

Celebrating 85 Years of Faith, Friendship & Service -
Faith-filled, fun-loving, and 85 years young!
The Catholic Women’s League (CWL) of Holy Redeemer Church has been at the heart of our parish community since before the church was even built! That’s right - our council was founded in May 1939, and this year, we joyfully celebrate 85 years of faithful service to God, our parish, and Canada.
Rooted in a rich history of cooperation between French and English Catholic families of Minnow Lake, the CWL was part of the foundation -literally - of what would become the Holy Redeemer community. From bake sales and fundraisers to spiritual retreats, charitable outreach, and joyful fellowship, the CWL remains one of the most vibrant and active ministries in our parish.

But the CWL is more than just events (although we do throw a great tea or pancake breakfast!). We’re a sisterhood of Catholic women united in:
-
Growing spiritually — both individually and together
-
Supporting the teachings of the Church
-
Promoting the dignity of all people
-
Advocating for social justice, peace, and Christian values
-
And doing all of it with compassion, laughter, and purpose
Our members come from all walks of life and every age group. Whether you're new to the parish or have been here for decades, there’s a place for you in the CWL. Bring your gifts, your energy, and your coffee mug — and help us continue building a strong, faith-filled future at Holy Redeemer.
